The Red Hat LINUX certifications are aimed at providing the validation of a set of skills for LINUX professionals.  The LINUX curriculum consists of two courses (LINUX I and LINUX II) that prepare the students for the following two certifications:

Course objective: The course "LINUX I" is intended to prepare the students for the Red Hat Certified Technician certification.  The course "LINUX II" is intended to prepare the students for the Red Hat Certified Engineer certification. 

LINUX I: In this course, the student will implement disk partitioning, install the OS, configure many tasks (print, schedule using CROM, directory services (LDAP and NIS), autofs), manage users, set file system permissions, maintain the OS using RPM, use yum and pup, update the kernel, modify bootloader, configure RAID support, automate tasks using scripts, etc.

LINUX II assumes the skills obtained in LINUX I and prepares the students for the red Hat Certified Engineer certification.  In this course, the students will troubleshoot installation issues (from installation CD, bootloader, filesystem errors), network services (http/https, swb, nfs, ftp, web proxy, smtp, imap/impas/opo3, ssh, DNS (caching and name server, NTP)); maintain logical volumes, adjust the environment to work with SELinux settings, etc.
 
Prerequisites:

Class duration: 10 working days for each course

System requirements:  Before signing up for a class, please make sure the requirements (URL) for Internet access and system capabilities are met

Registration Instructions: You should sign up and pay for a class at least three weeks in advance.  Send an email to info@soleilit.com to include the following information

  1. Indicate class start date:  each class starts on the first and the 3rdth Monday of each month (However, there is no scheduled classes for these sessions that include a major national holiday)
  2. The cost of each class is $1,395.00
  3. You will be contacted for payment information.
